The weekend is fading, and Saw III has left its indeliable stamp on the box office, perhaps at least partially the successful result of its attempted media brownout. Whatever. The judgment shall still commence. There's less pleasure to be found in the twists herein, and director Darren Lynn Bousman's stale stylistic mimicry (we get it, Darren, you really liked Mark Romanek's Nine Inch Nails music video work) is reductive in the extreme.
