Jackass Number Two

Reviewing Jackass Number Two is as much a test of one's own journalistic decency standards as anything else. The title, for instance, winkingly refers to a polite bathroom code parents use with children, so there’s naturally a healthy spread of fecal humor. But how to describe and explain, in print, said scenes of ingestion and decoration? Or the film’s opening segment, involving a sheathed penis used as a puppet to entice a snake? Or the sequence, concerning the stimulation of a horse and its imbibed after-effects, which leads co-star Chris Pontius to (finally!) exclaim, “You know, I’m ashamed of myself”?
